Chapter 44:

“Jin… If I were to tell you that actually I wanted to live by the sea and that is my dream, what do you say? Do you think we are able to?” Kazuya asked at the same time as Jin was stroking on Kazuya’s hair.

“Hmm but… do you think your parents will consent to you stepping down from Kamenashi’s Corporation and live such a carefree life?”

“Of course not…” Kazuya whined dejectedly.

“That’s why…” Jin held up Kazuya’s chin, looking deep into his eyes. “So long we are always together, no matter where the place is going to be, it will be alright. Ne?”

Kazuya nodded his head meekly in agreement. “But we can always visit the seaside whenever we have free time, right Jin?”

“Sure, why not?” Jin continued to stare intensely into Kazuya’s eyes, feeling mesmerized. Kazuya, as though captivated by an invisible spell, leaned up to start placing kisses all over Jin’s face again. He landed a short kiss on Jin’s jaw then moved over to his lips, aiming to land a loving, sweet kiss there. However, Jin being a cheeky Jin, purposely twisted his head slightly to the side, causing Kazuya to land his intended kiss beside his mouth instead.

Kazuya pouted and glared at Jin accusingly while Jin laughed out at his priceless expression. None of them noticed that the bedroom’s door had already creaked open slowly without a sound. Two figures stood there, looking dumbfounded at the absurd scene that spread out in front of them.

“Sorry, Kazu…” Jin stifled his laughter and made a kissing face at Kazuya. “Here…”

Kazuya grinned out childishly in victory, as though like a kid was being granted the permission to enter a desired candy shop after a fierce debate with his parent. He leaned down and started to peck Jin on his lips lightly a few times. Jin responded immediately, wrapping his arms around Kazuya without hesitation.

We kissed till we laughed, I thought it wouldn't end.
You'll always be my first boyfriend, my precious boyfriend, precious lover.

“Kazu…” Jin mumbled between their shared adoring kisses. “How… about your parents?” Jin moaned out in pleasure to which the two figures gasped in horror upon hearing it.

Kazuya smiled triumphantly into the kiss. “Hmm… what about…” Kazuya then broke off the kiss for the needed air intake, “them?”

“Don’t you think…” Jin resumed his task on kissing and licking his boyfriend’s lips, even though he wanted to speak up at the same time. “It’s time to let them know…” Just at this time, Kazuya let out a small enjoyable moan. “About us?” Jin finished off his sentence, smirking and feeling satisfied hearing his lover’s pleasant moan.

They were just about to pick up where they left off, when Kazuya wanted to answer Jin.

“I think…” Kazuya was about to give a reply when a pair of voices interrupted him crudely the next moment.

“I think, now we know.” A man’s cold, furious voice was heard.

“And we had seen enough.” A woman’s livid voice was heard next.

‘Holy shit.’

Kazuya immediately jumped out from Jin’s embrace when he finally recognized his parents’ voice.

“Father! Mother!” Kazuya called out briskly in horror. “W-when d-did you… a-arrive?”

“Mr. Kamenashi. Mrs. Kamenashi.” Jin stood up from the bed timidly after Kazuya and greeted the old couple awkwardly in fear.

“We came home last night. Mr. Watanabe had just informed us that you were back from your holiday trip so we wanted to come over and have a look.” Mr. Kamenashi stated sternly. “Yet this is what we have to witness. Totally unexpected.”

“What were you doing, Kazuya?” Mrs. Kamenashi almost barked out her question.

“W-we…” Kazuya felt a lump arising in his throat. He couldn’t answer at all.

“Mrs. Kamenashi, Kazu, I mean Kazuya and I was just…” Jin immediately got interrupted by Mrs. Kamenashi.

“You were just kissing, aren’t you?” Mrs. Kamenashi emphasized strongly on the word, feeling the anger rising inside her.

Kazuya turned a shade redder while Jin was fidgeting awkwardly in his spot.

“We… I can explain.” Jin answered.

“You better. Get down to the living room in ten minutes time.” Mr. Kamenashi ordered and walked out from the room with his wife in tow.

Jin and Kazuya looked at each other with utmost worry evident in their eyes.

Ten minutes were enough for them to calm themselves down and arrived at the living room, ready for any explanation or answer demanded from them. At least that was what Kazuya and Jin thought.

They took their seats at the exclusive couch opposite of Kazuya’s parents and cast their gaze down all the time.

“Kazuya, can you kindly explain to us what was taking place between you and Jin in your room earlier on?” Mr. Kamenashi raised his first question.

Kazuya looked up at his parents and shifted his gaze to Jin who was seated beside him. Jin nodded his head once, encouraging Kazuya.

“We were… k-kissing.” Kazuya answered honestly.

“Then can you kindly tell me why were you and Jin kissing?” Mr. Kamenashi’s voice got slightly harsher and louder.

Kazuya winced at that but nevertheless he answered bravely. Afterall, he has promised Mr. Akanishi that he wouldn’t relent and gave up on their love easily. He wanted this. So he needed to do this. “We… we are a couple. S-so I don’t see anything wrong with that… act.”

Jin could see fury burned ferociously in Mr. and Mrs. Kamenashi’s eyes which were directed at him. He bowed his head and looked at them again. Nothing was changed.

Silence stretched out between the four of them since Kazuya had ended his answer. No one spoke up.

Minutes passed by. Still, no one spoke up. Jin couldn’t take it any longer so he stood up and walked up to Mr. and Mrs. Kamenashi. He kneeled down in front of them and pleaded, “Mr. Kamenashi, Mrs. Kamenashi, I am sorry for inflicting such a trouble and worry to the both of you. I may have disappointed you; you may not be able to accept Kazuya as who he is. But… I will not change my mind towards Kazuya irregardless of whatsoever.”

“Jin…” Kazuya called out meekly, moving to kneel beside Jin on the floor.

Jin ignored Kazuya’s calling and continued with what he wanted to tell Kazuya’s parents.

“Perhaps you may not like me for what I have done with Kazuya but I will never apologize for that because I see no mistake in loving someone. I have loved Kazuya ever since I met him in school, since the first time we saw each other. I… I can’t imagine my life without him. Kazuya is my everything. I will protect him and love him with all I can.” Mr. and Mrs. Kamenashi looked at Jin quietly, waiting for him to continue. But their blazing eyes have started to soften.

Tears swarmed into Jin’s eyes but he’s stubborn enough not to let any drop spill out. “Mr. Kamenashi, I, Akanishi Jin, wish to live my life as a person who possesses strong confidence to do whatever it needs to bring happiness to the people who are dearest to me and that includes Kazuya. I am sincere in wanting to be with Kazuya. I really love him with my whole heart. Please, accept us.” With that said, Jin bowed down, nearly kissing the floor with his forehead.

Jin waited and waited longer for any response. But none came. He straightened up in his posture and looked at Kazuya who had already broken down into tears. “Kazu…” He pulled Kazuya into his embrace and stroked on his hair. “Shush…”

“Do you think that you can really bring happiness to Kazuya?” Mr. Kamenashi asked another question. This time, his voice was much warmer.

Jin turned to look at the older man in the eyes. “Yes. I am sure.”

“You are sure that you young people are not just fooling around?” Mrs. Kamenashi wanted another confirmation.

“Yes, I’m sure we are not fooling around…” Kazuya murmured in between his stifling of tears and lacing his fingers with Jin’s.

“We are serious.” Jin affirmed.

“But if Mr. and Mrs. Kamenashi can no longer stand having me in the Kamenashi’s Corporation, I can understand. I am willing to quit. But I have to let you know this in advance. By doing this doesn’t mean that I, Akanishi Jin, am giving up on Kamenashi Kazuya. I will still pursue my love, my happiness with Kazu.” Jin squeezed on Kazuya’s hand tightly.

“We did not say that we are dismissing you, did I, Jin?” Mr. Kamenashi spoke out in a benevolent voice. Jin and Kazuya looked up at them hopefully.

“We did not say anything about wanting to break you two apart forcefully, did we?” Mrs. Kamenashi followed up, voice also lacing with benign.

Jin and Kazuya looked at Mr. Kamenashi then at Mrs. Kamenashi simultaneously.

“Does that mean…”

“Kazuya is our son, Jin. We will respect his decision. We don’t oppose to him liking someone from the same gender. We want him to have his own happiness. We just wanted to be sure that the two of you are serious about one another, and it’s not a moment of foolish act. In this whole wide world, it’s easy to find a person you dislike, but it’s not easy to find a person whom you may like. Therefore, if you manage to find a person who can return your feeling, you should go all for it and cherish that person. So, now, what do you think of our answer?”

“I-I… Thank you very much!” Jin immediately bowed down and kept shouting his gratitude. “Thank you for accepting me! Thank you for accepting us!”

“Jin… enough.” Mrs. Kamenashi gave out an elegant laugh and stood to crouch down beside Jin.

“We love you as much as we love Kazuya, dear. We trust you.” She enfolded Jin into her arms and patted him on his back.

“Welcome to our home, Jin.”

“T-Thank you…” Jin began to find it hard to suppress his choking sob.

“I…” Kazuya started off, finding this a suitable time to raise his query. “I have already decided to move into a new apartment with Jin. It’s located at Roppongi Hills…” Kazuya trailed off timidly when he saw the astounded expression on his parents’ face.

“What!?” Both his parents shouted in unison, causing Jin and Kazuya to flinch a bit.

“The renovations are almost done. We can move in a little while.” Kazuya hurried to blurt everything out, hoping to get the approval of his parents’ as well.

“JIN!” Mr. Kamenashi yelled out, shaking the poor figure kneeling on the floor, hard. “To think that we have just accepted you and welcomed you to our home, you have already made such a plan without seeking for our permission!? Huh?” Mr. Kamenashi roared and continued to shake the dizzy Jin back and forth comically.

“Father! Stop that! You are making Jin dizzy!” Kazuya defended Jin and whined.

Mr. Kamenashi stopped his action and held onto Jin’s shoulder firmly, looking into his eyes seriously.

“Jin, listen to me carefully. I am not going to repeat myself again, do you hear me?”

Jin nodded eagerly, waiting for Mr. Kamenashi’s words.

“I am entrusting Kazuya into your hands from now on. I allow him to move in with you, BUT based on one condition. You have to take very good care of him and report to me every once a month.”

“Father! Why do we have to report to you?! That sounds very odd.” Kazuya pouted.

“Okay, okay, off with the reporting. Just… take good care of my son, okay, Jin?”

“Yes, I will do that! I promise!” Jin almost shouted right into Mr. Kamenashi’s ears.

“Good. We have faith in you.”

The four of them broke out into a warm and tender mirth. Unlimited, harmonious warmness spread around in the house.

Finally, they could declare boldly to everyone that they were together. No longer needing to be afraid of the consequences like what would happen if Mr. or Mrs. Kamenashi found out about them, no longer needing to be fearful of anything.

A/N: Another chap done. And I’m sorry that it’s slightly shorter. Seriously, my schedule is so packed and haywire lately. Friend’s wedding is next week… then bro’s one 2 weeks after that. Haha… so I can’t promise to be able to update exactly during the weekends these weeks till mid Dec. But I will try my best. =) So… just be patient and continue to show support ne? =) Give me some confidence, k? I haven’t been writing since… that incident with my uncle had happened. Chapter 43:

“Do you have any idea, Jin?” Kazuya asked then.

~ FLASHBACK ~

"Then is there any country or anywhere that you have not been to yet but wish to go?" Jin asked Kazuya at the end of his babbling.

"Hmm... nowhere in particular yet. Wait… hmm, maybe Florence? Florence is also part of Italy. It is a nice place."

~ END OF FLASHBACK ~

“OH RIGHT! I got it! Kazu, Kazu, let me speak to Kei! I have got a fantastic place to recommend him!” Jin shouted in excitement abruptly.

Kazuya handed the cellphone over to Jin skeptically and waited for Jin’s recommended suggestion.

“Hello, Kei? Jin here.” Jin spoke into the device as soon as he got it in his hands.

“Hey Jin~ yeah? Got any nice suggestion for me?” Keita’s cheerful voice floated over.

“Yes. Just now, Kazu was suggesting Milan right? How about Florence then? It’s also in Italy. What do you think?” Jin insinuated.

“Florence? I am not familiar with that place yet.” Keita’s worried voice came.

“Ah, I remembered I read about this place from a book some time back as I found it to be really interesting. It stated that Florence maintains an exceptional artistic heritage, and since you said you need a place that is artistic, I think Florence is kind of suitable. Perhaps you will want to go to the Internet and research about this place first?” Jin told Keita, skillfully avoided mentioning that in actual fact, Kazuya was the one who once mentioned before that he wanted to visit Florence some time in the future. And because of Kazuya, Jin went to research on that place and discovered many beautiful things about it.

“Great, I will do that later. Nice idea, Jin. Thank you very much!”

“You’re welcome~” Jin greeted Keita back. “Oh, anyway, Florence was once named as Florentia which meant ‘the flourishing’, just nice for you, don’t you think so?”

“Really, how is that so?” Keita felt inquisitive.

“Because flourishing meant one is in his prime time, at the height of fame. Hence for you now, you are achieving very well now so I personally think that Florence is a very suitable place for you, both in terms of the artistic feel you are looking out for and the meaning behind the place. Its bonus.” Jin explained patiently while Kazuya and Yamapi gaped at him in awe beside him.

“You really know a lot, Jin.” Keita complimented.

“Well, thanks to my liking towards Italian pasta so I tend to read a lot on these places and their food.” Jin giggled, still avoiding mentioning about his love.

“Ah, then I shall bring you guys along with me too!” Keita shouted in exhilaration.

“Huh?” Jin got dumbfounded.

“Yeah, I will go there to work on my bibliography book shots while you guys can go over there to have a nice belated graduation holiday trip! Isn’t that great?” Keita suggested.

“Hmm… Are you sure?” Jin hesitated, brows coming together.

“Yes, I am very sure! Help me to inform Kazu-chan and Pi too. I will update you guys on the date to depart later then!”

“Hang on! Then about the place…” Jin trailed off, waiting for Keita to continue his answer for him.

“Ah, I will choose Florence! Really, thank you so much, Jin! I will do the research now.”

“I see…” Jin smiled out earnestly and gained confusing looks from Yamapi and Kazuya. “Okay, then we will be waiting for your news then! Bye~”

“Sure, goodbye! Oh, and help me to say ‘thanks’ to Pi and Kazu-chan too! Bye-bi!”

“Alright. Bye bi~” Jin mimicked Keita and giggled while flipping the cellphone shut.

“What, what, what?” Yamapi asked Jin right after he had hung up the phone call.

“Oh, Kei wanted me to inform you guys that he will be bringing us along for this trip and that he will confirm the date with us again. So be prepared for the upcoming wonderful trip~” Jin answered happily.

“EH?” Kazuya let out.

“YAY~ Holiday! I can’t wait for it!” Yamapi’s outburst was totally different from Kazuya’s.

“So where does he want to go then?” Kazuya asked.

“Oh, in the end, he chose Florence. Reason is… what I had just told him.” Jin smiled in triumphant.

“Florence… I see.” Kazuya mumbled. That sounded familiar. “Ne Jin, you really like Italy, aren’t you?”

“Hmm… I guess so ne. Remembered what I had told you when we first had our pasta dinner together?” Jin smiled in nostalgic and Kazuya nodded.

“I really want to taste the real Italian food…” Jin answered in a soft voice. “And… remembered what you replied me?”

Kazuya shook his head tentatively this time after a few seconds of serious thinking.

“You told me you would like to visit Florence if there is a chance.”

“Really? I can’t remember that!” Kazuya laughed out haphazardly at his poor memory. “In that case, we shall go to Florence then.” Kazuya beamed and Jin beamed brightly back at him whilst Yamapi was dancing happily behind them, enthralled over the news.

“Ah, I missed Florence already, Kazu~!” Jin whined ruefully while rolling about on Kazuya’s bed.

“Quit your pig whining, Jin. We had just arrived back in Japan.” Kazuya proceeded to sit on the couch and sipped from a glass of ice-water. “And haven’t you had enough of Florence since we had been there for like, what? 10 days?”

“Noooo~ I missed their food, Kazu…” Jin continued to whine, much to the provocation of Kazuya’s.

“Food again? Jin… you have been stuffing yourself with pasta and desserts for every meal at there!” Kazuya glared at Jin in disbelief.

“But you aren’t really eating a lot so I am helping you out…” Jin tried to retort but failed miserably.

“Well, by ordering new plates of food and desserts weren’t considered as helping me out, am I right?” Kazuya asked back sarcastically. “I can’t imagine how much you weigh now…” Kazuya rolled his eyes along with his remark.

“Hey, easy with that comment okay, Kazu? I’m getting concerned here. I can’t imagine how we are going to compromise when we are living together soon…” Jin mumbled grumpily while shifting into a new position with his left arm sandwiched between his head and the bed-sheets while his right arm was resting leisurely on his abdomen.

“Well, we can-” Kazuya was about to retort back when he felt something was odd with Jin’s previous remark. “What did you just say?”

“I said, easy with that derisive comment of yours.” Jin huffed, still feeling unhappy and grumpy over his lover’s remark.

“No, I mean the line after this.”

“I’m getting concerned.” Jin answered again in a flat tone.

Kazuya paused for a second. “No, another line after this.”

“What?” Jin started to get irritated and sat up. “I said I can’t imagine how we are going to compromise when we are living together soon.” He repeated each and every word truthfully without sparing a second thought.

Kazuya gasped. “Jin…” His eyes widened and stared at the figure on the bed intensely.

“What?” Jin asked impatiently.

“Are you serious about it?” Kazuya placed his glass of water down and paced towards Jin who’s lying back down on the bed.

“About what? Living together?” Jin asked casually.

Nevertheless, Kazuya nodded though he could see that Jin’s gaze wasn’t cast on him.

“Hell yes, I am completely sure. Why? Are you going to oppose it?” Jin replied seriously yet densely at the same time, his gaze still fixed firmly on the pure white ceiling.

No sound came from Kazuya and Jin curiously peeked over to see what had happened to the smaller man. And he was met with a sight of his boyfriend sitting cross-legged in a slouchy way beside him on the bed, a few drops of tears flowing beautifully down his cheeks quietly and his hands fumbling with a small beige pillow.

“Kazu?” Jin sat up again and leaned towards his boyfriend. “What’s wrong?”

“Jin…” Kazuya peered up and launched himself at Jin, causing both of them to fall back down on the soft bed.

“Eh?” Jin let out.

“Jin, I am the happiest person now.” Kazuya confessed while slipping down from Jin’s body and snuggled closer to Jin, his head resting on Jin’s broad chest.

“Why is that so?” Jin wrapped his arm over Kazuya, pulling him even closer.

“Because… Jin had just asked me to live with him.” Kazuya answered plainly yet sweetly.

Jin smiled and pressed a kiss on Kazuya’s head. “Yes, I did. I have been planning this since quite some time back.”

“Then why haven’t you been telling me anything?”

“Because I wanted to meant it as a surprise for you.” Jin replied and tried to get up into a sitting position, making Kazuya to follow along.

Jin placed his hands on Kazuya’s shoulders and asked in a serious tone. “Now that we have my parents’ approval, Kazu, will you live your life with me starting from now on?”

Kazuya stared back at Jin with his glassy orbs and nodded his head coyly. “Hn, I want to.” Kazuya smiled angelically like a delighted child. “Thank you, Jin.”

Jin mirrored Kazuya’s sweet smile and leaned forward to seal their lips with a simple, sugary kiss.

“Thank you too, Kazu, for allowing my wish to come true. I am satisfied with just living the rest of my life blissfully with you by my side.”

“Hn.” Kazuya nodded his head again and slipped into Jin’s lukewarm embrace, burying his face into Jin’s neck and nuzzled there.

“But Jin… where will our home be? Your apartment is out of question, right?” Kazuya murmured.

“Well, actually I have bought an apartment in Roppongi Hills. It’s currently undergoing the renovation process and it had reached the final stage now. A few more touch-ups here and there and we are ready to move in.”

“EH!? Roppongi Hills!?” Kazuya got a shock and pulled away to look at Jin with his comical wide eyes.

“Yes… it’s very convenient there. And most importantly, my sweet-sweet Kazu’s favorite Louis Vuitton shop is located around that area too~” Jin smiled in smug, feeling proud of himself for finding such a fabulous location and pointed his index finger to his puffed right cheek, hinting Kazuya that he deserved a rewarding kiss. Kazuya did as he was signaled shyly.

“Thank you, Jin! Thank you sooooo much! I love you so much!” Kazuya beamed in colorful delight and pecked Jin on his lips as a bonus.

“Hmm… Since I love you so much to buy you an apartment that you are so fond of, shouldn’t you reward me with something more?” Jin smirked while pointing his index finger to his lips again and tapped there two times.

Kazuya getting the hint leaned forward to seal their lips with another chaste, simple kiss but full of love. Then they fell into fits of delightful giggles.

Jin pulled Kazuya down, half-lying onto his chest and cuddled him. “Kazu, do you feel happy with my arrangement?”

A/N: okay, erm, I wanna apologise for skipping the part at Florence as my muse certainly didn’t hit me for that. And I am super pissed off with LJ as they kept saying that my post is too large so now, I have to cut it at an inappropriate place. Sucks. I will try to make it up in the next update. Sorry about that as I need to go study for my upcoming test now. As usual, drop your kisses after reading? ^^

Wandering For Love -chapter 42-

Chapter 42:

Kazuya dare not looked up and only hung his head low, afraid of the reactions of the Akanishi’s family. What should he do if Mr. and Mrs. Akanishi objected to their relationship? How should he cope then?

“I-I see.” Mrs. Akanishi stuttered out, her blinking eyes still wide with surprise, staring at their entwined hands.

“You are telling us that… Brother Kazuya is your lover!?” Reio shrieked inadvertently.

Kazuya flinched from that tone. Now… was Reio going to voice out his objection as well?

Jin nodded his head resolutely. “Yes, I am. He is.”

As Jin had not received any positive responses from his family yet, he assumed that they did not like this idea at all. So he decided to make the first resolute move here. “I-I don’t care if any of you will object to our relationship. I just want him. I only want Kazu and no one else.”

“Did we say that we will be objecting?” Mr. Akanishi, being the last person whom had not given any answer, finally spoke up.

Kazuya looked up hopefully at Mr. Akanishi. Jin who held Kazuya’s hand in his lap now, caressed his boyfriend’s cold, trembling hand soothingly.

“Jin.” Jin’s father called out. Jin looked up at him and waited. “Take good care of Kazuya from now on, you hear me? Don’t hurt him in any way. He is a good boy, I like him a lot.”

Both Kazuya and Jin gaped at each other before looking back at Jin’s father in disbelief, jaws dropping. Jin’s father had agreed to their relationship although he did not specify the obvious words as his answer.

“Me too, I like him so much that I wish he is my own son.” Mrs. Akanishi smiled maternally. “Now, I need not fret.”

“Welcome, Brother Kazuya!” Reio chirped merrily.

Jin yelled out excitedly in triumph. “YOSHA!” He launched himself at Kazuya and wrapped the smaller form into his arms tightly. He exclaimed his promise loudly. “I will! I will take care of him! I will protect him! I love him!” Kazuya beamed brightly in his hug, eyes twinkling in shine and kept murmuring “thank you” in a soft voice.

“Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Akanishi.” Kazuya broke away from the hug and thanked Jin’s parents earnestly and properly again, tears rolling and gleaming inside his eyes.

“I… Really, thank you very much!” Kazuya babbled eagerly, tears flowing silently down his cheeks in gratitude. “I really… thank you for everything! Thank you for accepting us! Thank you for bringing Jin to this world… Without Jin, I will still be the lonely person I am… I won’t be the Kamenashi Kazuya I am now. Because of Jin, I become a happy person. Because of Jin, I have known happiness.”

Mrs. Akanishi broke down into tears upon hearing that confession from Kazuya. Not many people would appreciate Jin as much as Kazuya did. She knew that.

“Kazu, don’t cry…” Jin swiped away Kazuya’s tears with his thumbs gently and draped a comforting arm over Kazuya’s shivering shoulder, pulling him into a sideway hug, tears rolling inside his own eyes as well. “Everything is alright now.”

“Mr. Akanishi, although I cannot promise you that my parents may accept us wholeheartedly as you are, but I will make sure that I won’t relent easily and will stay strong for our love, for Jin and for myself. I won’t give Jin up easily. Jin is my life.” Kazuya babbled in assurance while holding securely to Jin’s other warm hand.

“I’m glad to hear that, Kazuya.” Mr. Akanishi smiled genially. “Please take care of Jin for us too.”

“Hn.” Kazuya promised.

“How long have you been together?” Reio enquired inquisitively randomly.

“We have only just got together about one month plus ago.” Jin answered.

“But it seemed like it has been since forever…” Reio muttered and Jin narrowed his eyes at him.

“I see. Anyway, we will always welcome you into our house, Kazuya.” Mrs. Akanishi smiled maternally. “Come, let’s have our dinner now. The food is turning cold.”

They certainly didn’t expect that everything could be as uncomplicated as all that…

“It’s like you’re practically living here, Kame-chan!” Yamapi exclaimed in the oh-so-romantic tone the moment he stepped into Jin’s apartment after he had kicked off his shoes, Kazuya following behind him, bearing a deadpan expression. “Your second home!” Yamapi turned around to face Kazuya and pointed a ‘V’ sign to him, emphasizing on the word ‘second’ which he had mentioned.

Kazuya rolled his eyes and asked the uninvited guest antagonistically. “What do you want, Pi?”

“Nothing. I don’t always ask for presents.” Yamapi answered nonchalantly, his answer almost allowed him to be killed brutally by his originally amicable, good-natured childhood friend.

“Okay, let me rephrase my question, Sir. Why are you here?” Kazuya gave out a scoff with his question.

“OH! Well, I thought I am kind of free now, you know, so I thought of coming over and look for Bakanishi to have a chit chat~ is he home?” Yamapi finally answered correctly to the question, avoiding to be killed.

Kazuya sighed. “He’s in a bath now, will be coming out in a second. Have a seat first. Is green tea fine with you, Pi?” Kazuya asked monotonously while walking slowly back towards the kitchen.

“Yup. Thank you very the muchie!” Yamapi just wouldn’t change his attitude irregardless of his age. That’s what Kazuya thought and he sighed before he proceeded towards the kitchen.

“Pi? Why are you here?” Jin asked questioningly as soon as he spotted him when he came out into the living room.

“Oh~ Bakanishi!” Yamapi jumped up from his seat and latched himself onto Jin forcefully.

“Oi! Get off me, Pi!” Jin yelled out and attempted to throw Yamapi onto the ground but to no avail. “Tell me, why the hell are you here!?”

“Jin.” Kazuya’s voice was heard from behind so Jin spun around to see Kazuya walked out from the kitchen with a glass of cold green tea, clearly for their uninvited guest.

“Kazu, why is he here?” Jin whined as he pointed an accusing finger at Yamapi who’s slowly getting down to stand on the floor fearfully when he noticed a death, frigid glare sent to him from Kazuya.

“He said he wanted to come and chat with you.” Kazuya answered coolly.

“H-har?” Jin looked at Yamapi, feeling baffled. “Chat? Didn’t you know that I will not be free for you when today is Friday?”

Kazuya sat down on Jin’s beige couch, crossed his legs gracefully and nodded his head casually in rhythm with Jin’s words, giving Yamapi a ‘see-there-you-go-so-bye-bye’ look.

Yamapi smiled sheepishly, ignoring Kazuya’s intense stare. “Well, I thought Kame-chan would be busy…”

“Pi, in case you haven’t realized yet, you are my personal assistant.” Yamapi nodded his head in acknowledgement.

“I know that.”

“Then, can you kindly enlighten me why the hell did you not know whether am I free or not for today? You are the assistant, so you will definitely have my schedule!” Kazuya yelled out exasperatedly.

“Well…” Yamapi started off timidly.

“Well?” Jin urged him on.

“I forgot.” Yamapi ended beautifully.

Two sighs in defeat could be heard clearly and Yamapi grinned in victory.

Just then, Kazuya’s cellphone rang. He picked up the cellphone from the table and answered it.

“Hello?”

“Hello, Kazu?” Keita’s voice came about.

“Kei!” Kazuya’s eyes brightened in delight and he bounced up in his seat and sat up straight on the couch, causing Jin to narrow his eyes dreadfully in jealousy. He marched up to Kazuya and stared down mutinously at him, hands on his waist.

“Ne, Kazu, I have got a question to ask you. I need suggestions.”

“Yeah, how can I help?” Kazuya turned slightly to the side and avoided Jin’s menacing stare.

“I am assigned to release my solo bibliography book soon and I need to choose a country to go to.”

“Oh, how come?”

“Ah… I will be having my photo shoots in the country I choose.”

“Is that so…? Hmm… let me think…” Kazuya answered while swatting Jin’s annoying finger away irritably which was poking him endlessly at his cheeks since the beginning of the phone call.

“How about… France?” He suggested.

“Hmm… France? But I wanted a place which can give me a more… erm, artistic feel.”

“Artistic feel ne?” Kazuya pondered seriously. Jin now seated beside Kazuya on one side while Yamapi on the arm of the couch, both eyeing him like a new toy presented to curious children. But Kazuya ignored them. He shifted the phone from his left to his right.

“Ah I know! How about Milan, Italy?”

“Milan…” Keita’s considering voice floated over through the device. “Can be considered…”

Jin was getting impatient and irritated. Yamapi who’s acting like a monkey in front of him wasn’t helping him at all either. He crossed his arms and pouted at Kazuya madly.

“Kei…” Kazuya called out after seeing Jin’s edgy ministration.

“Yes?”

“Give me a few seconds, alright?”

“Sure.”

“Jin… stop it. Why are you mad?” Kazuya tried to sweet-talk Jin while attempting to cover the speaker with his hand.

“Because.” Jin answered lividly, like a child throwing his childish tantrum at being denied something.

“What?” Kazuya asked quizzically.

“Because you are ignoring him and yet, chatting oh-so-sweetly with Keita.” Yamapi pointed that apparent fact out to Kazuya.

“Oh… Okay, I’m sorry, love. Kei called me to ask for suggestions as he will be releasing his solo bibliography book soon. He needs to find a country for that photo shoot.” Kazuya explained patiently while placing his free hand on Jin’s thigh, assuring him.

“Ohh…” was all Jin said before he beamed stupidly at Kazuya, enthralled over the action Kazuya did than said. His eyes fixed on Kazuya’s hand on his thigh and he smiled idiotically to himself. Sometimes, action just speaks louder than words.

“Yeah, so give me a few more minutes to end this call, alright? Wait patiently.” Kazuya requested sweetly.

“Okay!” Jin agreed immediately like an obedient puppy and caused Yamapi to stare at them in disbelief. So it’s so easy to get Jin to be not angry anymore. Just with that move. And Yamapi had to roll his eyes at the perverted Jin who’s beaming so brightly right now.

Keita could hear a bit of shuffling sound before Kazuya’s voice came back through the device. “Sorry. Jin and Pi were disturbing me.” Keita could hear a faint protest like ‘I did not!’ which sounded horribly similar to Yamapi’s voice.

Keita chuckled and sighed. “It’s been their usual style ne.”

“Yes.” Kazuya answered in dread.

“Anyway, so you were saying Milan earlier on? Any other places you can think of?”

“Hmm…”

“Do you think we should ask Jin or Pi for suggestions since they are beside you?”

“Erm… sure.” Kazuya excused himself and tossed that question to Jin and Yamapi, hoping to gain some useful suggestions for Keita.

“Ne, Pi, Jin, as I have mentioned earlier that Keita will be releasing his solo bibliography book soon so he needs to find a country for the photo shoot, any idea where he can go? He needs somewhere that possesses an artistic feel. I was thinking about Milan in Italy though.” Kazuya asked.

“Hmm, how about Los Angeles?” Yamapi responded seriously, eyebrows knitting together to show his seriousness.

Jin turned to cast him an ‘are-you-that-dumb’ look. “Los Angeles!? Pi! For God’s sake, he came back from there; feel free to correct me if I’m wrong!” Jin complained dramatically.

“OH YEAH! I totally forgot about that…” Yamapi grinned in embarrassment.

Kazuya felt sweat gathering on his forehead so he picked up the phone and spoke to Keita without waiting to hear for Jin’s idea. He just assumed that his boyfriend wouldn’t come up with an ideal place either. “I think it’s for the best if you don’t heed any of these two baka’s ideas.”

“Hey! We heard that!” Jin and Yamapi protested in unison.

Keita chuckled and said, “I heard Pi’s answer. Tell him nice try. How about Jin?”

“Jin… he…” Kazuya cast a glance at Jin.

“Do you have any idea, Jin?” Kazuya asked then.

However, if there is no more last minute happening, I should be able to update as per normal from now on. So there~ hope you will like it! I'm sorry to say that I wont be able to update WFL this week as.... I will be at a funeral wake these days.

My uncle has passed on last night and we have to settle a lot of things and sort. I'm sure you will know. Hence, I dont have the time to update, wont have the mood to write anything as well... I hope I will continue to update the next chapter by the following week though.

I still dont feel quite well and I couldnt really take it well yet. But I'm trying to stay strong and hold on.

I'm sorry for breaking my promise of updating it this week. Hope you readers will understand it... and understand my feeling....

Wandering For Love -chapter 41-

Chapter 41:

“Ahem!” They heard a fake clearing throat sound. “Excuse me, Sirs?”

They turned towards the voice and saw Yamapi, Ueda, Nakamaru, Junno and Koki were staring at them intently in amusement. “Are you two over-in-love morons done with your lovey-dovey act there? Did you notice that you are still in a public hall?” Yamapi scolded playfully.

“And just for your information, we are moving on to Keita’s merriment celebration party now.” Ueda continued nonchalantly.

“Sorry…” Kazuya mumbled embarrassingly while standing up from Jin’s lap unstably.

“Okay, come on~ Kazu, let’s go. Keita’s waiting.” Jin said, tugging Kazuya’s hand in his, totally ignoring the ‘spectators’.

“Oi! Don’t ignore us, you stupid Bakanishi!”

~*~

“Cheers!” a jovial shout resonated through the VIP room in the high-class, posh restaurant.

“Congratulations on the success of the premium concert tonight, Keita-kun!” Mr. Matsuyama initiated the lead and shouted merrily with his glass of champagne high up in the air.

“YAY, congratulations!” A unison greeting was heard, followed by Mr. Matsuyama’s shout.

“Thank you! Thank you everyone for everything! Today, the concert was a great success! Once again, thank you very much! Cheers!” Keita gave a short speech.

With that on cue, the celebration had officially kicked off. After about two hours, the whole group of people including some of the staffs, Ryohei, Ryuichi and Mr. Matsuyama were all lounging in their seats lethargically and were giving short, huffed laughter unconsciously. Obviously, almost all of them were drunk.

Right beside their table was the main table with the focal character, Keita and his VIPs. But somehow… they were also already half-drunk.

“Kazu, don’t drink so much. You are reaching your limit soon.” Jin warned Kazuya like a mother hen while tugging on Kazu’s arm possessively. He knew very well where Kazu’s limit was. Whereas he himself knew how to control his own liquor level, thus, he had stepped on a halt for consuming more alcohol so that he could stay sober. More importantly, another responsibility of his was to look after the drunken Kazuya and drove them home safely. Afterall, he doesn’t want anybody else to have the chance to touch his Kazuya.

“Jin…” Kazuya called out drunkenly and released a small chuckle. “I am FINE!” Kazuya launched himself onto Jin’s lap heavily who’s seated on his left and encircled his arms around Jin’s neck roughly.

“I felt really delighted today…” Kazuya murmured while making a move to grab Jin’s half-filled wine glass on the table, intending to bring it to his lips.

“Kazu… stop drinking…” Jin warned again, pulling the wine glass away from Kazuya’s loosening, unstable grip.

“Jin…” Kazuya murmured again, falling limply in Jin’s lap, into Jin’s warmth body. Jin could only tighten his hold more and soothed Kazuya on his back.

“Jin… Kazu has got… things to say to… Kei and Pi…” Kazu sat up again in Jin’s lap and stared at Jin through his drunken eyes.

“Alright… go ahead.” Jin nodded his head, granting his permission and loosened his hold slightly so that Kazuya could turn to his friends in a more comfortable position.

“Ne, Kei-chan… Pi-chan…” Kazuya called out to them precariously who was seated on Jin’s right side, trying to gain their attention.

“Hmm?” Keita, who’s still sober like Jin, tugged on Yamapi’s arm that’s on his right while showing Kazuya a response to prove that he’s paying attention to him.

“Yeah?” Yamapi who’s already ready to join those drunken people, asked back.

Kazuya wavered for a few moments and looked straight up at them intently through his half-lidded eyes, not uttering anything.

“Don’t you dare to fall asleep on us after calling for us yeah…” Yamapi warned in a slurred way.

Jin leaned forward to press a gentle peck on Kazuya’s cheek, successfully grabbing his drunken lover’s attention and waking him up in the process. Kazuya twisted and looked at Jin in daze quizzically.

“Kazu, they are waiting for you. Go on. Tell them.” Jin encouraged in a soft voice.

“Hn.” Kazuya nodded his head once, acknowledging Jin’s point and twisted his head back towards his friends again.

“Ne… I… I have got something to say…” Kazuya started off.

“Yes, Kazu-chan? We are listening to you.” Keita replied.

“I… I may not be a good friend… and heck; I… don’t even know how worthy a friend am I to… to the both of you. I really don’t know. But I would just love to say this again. I really love and t-thank God for letting the two of you to cross my path because you guys contributed to a certain extent to shape me to whom I am today… So… thank you.” Kazuya blurted out all at a go.

Yamapi and Keita seemed flabbergasted with Kazuya’s cordial outburst. But after processing what he had just told them, they broke out into a sweet smile and gave a high-five gesture to one another.

“Kazu, we felt the same like you too… thank you.” Keita answered and moved forward to ruffle Kazuya’s hair fondly.

Kazuya swatted Keita’s hand away weakly but gave a big, wide grin in return. “Hn.”

“And thank you for… you know, doing all means to bring me and Kazu together. Thank you very much.” Jin interjected genuinely.

“We wanted smiles and happiness to surround Kazu-chan and you. That’s what we, as outsiders should do when we see you two trapped in the unmoving situation.” Keita assured.

“Thanks once again.” Jin smiled.

“Thank you~” Kazuya chirped after Jin, not fully comprehending for this expression of gratitude yet simply just wanted to follow his lover.

After that, he turned to glance at Jin who’s holding him like a treasured baby in his embrace. He smiled lazily and pressed a peck on Jin’s forehead. “Thank you, my love… I am glad to have you… in my life too.” With that, he nuzzled his face on Jin’s neck and purred cutely.

Jin only responded with a knowing smile and tightened his hold again.

“Kazu, I have wanted to tell you something.” Jin said in a serious tone.

“Hmm? What is it?” Kazuya asked while looking up from the magazine he’s flipping at.

“A few days ago, my mother gave me a call.” Kazuya looked up at Jin with a raised brow when he revealed. “She said that it’s been a long time since I last went home. I am thinking of applying a few days’ leave and go back to visit them. What do you think?”

“Sure. I will grant it.” Kazuya replied casually and smiled before he turned his attention back to the magazine in his hands.

“But… do you think you can do the same as well?” Jin asked, this time his voice a tone softer and almost near to pleading.

Kazuya raised his eyebrow in perplexity again. “Why?”

“Because… I told her about… us.”

Kazuya dropped his magazine and blinked a few times blankly at Jin. “Excuse me?”

“I… I have mentioned that I have found my love, so she said… I should bring the person back with me to let them meet up.”

“Are you serious?” Kazuya asked again, color draining from his face.

“Y-yes, I am. B-but if you are not ready yet, its fine, you know. I can always tell her to arrange the meet-up another time.” Jin hurried to clarify; feeling appalling that he might cause discomfort to his boyfriend.

“NO! No, it’s fine. I think it’s time for me to meet them as well.” Kazuya smiled reassuringly. “I am sure they are easier to handle than… you know, my parents.”

Jin assured with relief. “They are actually quite open with certain things.”

“Mum, Dad, I’m home.” Jin announced as soon as he opened the door of his family house.

“Jin! Welcome home~ I’m in the kitchen!” He heard his mother shouted.

“Sorry to disturb.” Kazuya whispered softly, feeling nervous about coming to meet Jin’s parents even though it’s apparent that this was not the first time he has meet his parents. However, this time was different. Different in his status when doing a meet-up. Kazuya understood that this was the first time Jin would introduce him to his parents as a boyfriend, a lover, no longer just a best friend or a classmate.

They stepped into the living room simultaneously and noticed that Mr. Akanishi was already seated at the couch and reading newspaper.

“Dad.”

“Mr. Akanishi. Nice to see you again.”

Mr. Akanishi whipped his head around and nodded his head in acknowledgement. “Welcome. Please, have a seat and make yourself comfortable, Kazuya.”

“Sure. Thank you.”

“Dad, is Reio home?”

“Yes, he is. Jin, go up and ask him down. We are starting dinner soon.” Jin’s father ordered while returning his attention back to the newspaper.

“Alright, I am going up now then. Kazu, you shall stay here.” Jin answered and winked at Kazuya playfully behind his father’s back before climbing up the stairs to get Reio.

Kazuya swallowed thickly once. Maybe he should… do some things to distract himself from his stiff nervousness.

“I-I will go and help Mrs. Akanishi with the preparation then.” Kazuya stammered and hurried to walk away without waiting for Jin’s father’s response.

“Kazuya!” Mrs. Akanishi exclaimed when she saw the young man stepping into the kitchen.

“Nice to see you again, Mrs. Akanishi.” Kazuya greeted politely, nervousness still evident in his voice. “Is there anything I can help?”

“No, it’s alright. I’m almost done anyway. Thank you, young man! How have you been lately?” Mrs. Akanishi inquired while placing down the utensils on the table.

“I’m still the same. I’m still slogging my life out in the company.” Kazuya giggled.

“Jin isn’t giving you any troubles, is he?” Mrs. Akanishi laughed out.

“No, no. He’s… good. He’s working very hard in his job. No problem at all.” Kazuya assured.

“Glad to hear that. I called him a few days ago, telling him that it’s time he should get himself a partner.” Mrs. Akanishi smiled while narrating to Kazuya. Kazuya nodded his head silently. “I think… it’s time for him to find a partner and settle down. Right then, he told me that he has found one.” Mrs. Akanishi smiled even wider. “I was surprised since he did not mention anything to me or his father before. Not even once. So I had requested him to bring the person home today.”

Kazuya nodded his head nervously a few more times and his voice faltered. “I see…”

“But… he told me he will consider it. So it seemed like he did not bring his partner home tonight ne?”

‘I am his that partner, Mrs. Akanishi… how should I tell you?’

“Actually…” Kazuya started tensely but was discontinued by a familiar voice.

“I did.” Jin answered firmly from behind them.

Mrs. Akanishi spun her head around from the sink area and smiled. “Jin.”

“Mum, I’m home.”

“Welcome home. Ah, Reio, you already came down? That’s good. We can start dinner now. Go and get your father, Reio.”

“Okay.” Reio answered and greeted Kazuya nicely before he left for the living hall to call for his father.

“Have a seat, Kazuya. Make yourself at home.” Jin’s mother said.

“Okay.”

Once all of them were settled down, Jin immediately raised his hand and stopped everyone from making any further movements. “I… I have got something to announce.” Everyone looked up at Jin inquisitively except for Kazuya.

“Mum, a few days ago, you gave me a call. Right?” Jin looked at his mother who nodded doubtfully.

“You told me that it’s time I should set my pace in life slower and get myself a partner, a person to love, despite slogging my life out in work.” Jin continued while everyone stayed quiet. He moved his hand to cover Kazuya’s fidgeting hand under the table inconspicuously.

“I… did. I have found my happiness.” Jin declared, smiling contently. “I have loved this person ever since the first time we met.”

“Then… why didn’t you bring that person home tonight, Brother?” Reio raised his question.

“That person…” Jin spared a side glance at Kazuya and his lover returned his gaze straightly. Jin then pulled up their entwined hands from under the table and presented to his family. “… is here with me tonight.”

Chapter 40:

Its written based on my own feelings at that time. It is called ‘ai no katachi’. Please listen to it.” With that, Kazuya, Jin and the others all sat back down and listen attentively to it.

The shape of love varies and it doesn’t have to look beautiful

“There I am done… how do all of you find it?” Keita inquired casually as he grabbed his bottle of water from the side of the stage and gulped down a few mouthful of water at one go. And he received a positive shouting of ‘nice’ in return.

“Thank you.” He thanked the audience earnestly, placed the bottle back on the floor and adjusted the strap of his guitar slightly. “Okay… as I had mentioned earlier on that my VIPs are here tonight and in between these people, there is a couple.” The audience went wild and shouted excitedly upon hearing the last word. Keita waited for them to bring to a halt before staring towards the VIP area perceptibly.

Seated at the VIP area, Jin moved his hand over and covered Kazuya’s hand with his delicately. Kazuya saw a contented smile adorning on Jin’s face even without him turning over to look at Kazuya. Kazuya resumed his gaze back to Keita on the stage and held their clasping hands tighter.

“Kazu-chan, Jin-kun, this following song I am singing is what the both of you had inspired me on when I understood and witnessed the exchange between the two of you. So do listen to it. Milky Way.”

The shooting star that sketched the night sky

Immense applauding resounded through the entire hall for nearly a full minute before it subsided gradually in satisfaction.

“How was it?” Keita asked as he accepted a small towel from a staff that came forward to wipe off his sweat on his face. “Given everyone’s loud, satisfying applause, I will take it that all of you like it ne…” Keita smiled lightheartedly but bowed in gratitude seriously again. “Thank you very much.”

Jin and Kazuya felt overwhelmed by the song Keita had expertly written. This song truly represented how they felt in their inner minds ever since the moment they knew and acknowledged one another in their hearts.

Keita exhaled a breath and made himself comfortable with the guitar again and allowed himself to drink one more mouthful of water at ease. “This couple I mentioned… they have been through a lot since months ago. I think… probably even way earlier before I knew anything about them.”

The said couple in the VIP area tightened their hands abstractedly and nodded in silent agreement that they indeed went through a lot before they finally found their happiness.

“I felt really thankful to see that they are finally together now. I have seen for myself how things broke apart because of some silly issues occurring between them. It’s really heart-breaking to witness how two fated souls meant for each other, were struggling so hard to get together but yet at the same time, because of the lack of courage and probably including other factors, their hearts denied one another.”

From his position on the stage, Keita could clearly define that almost half of the fans were already blinking their eyes in tears.

“I am not trying to promote their love here…” Keita laughed out lightheartedly, feeling silly for himself and simultaneously, managed to plant some smiles onto some of the fans’ faces. “Anyway, I sincerely hope that they,” Keita looked up towards the VIP area again and saw all his friends over there had already stood up, listening to him. “Kazu-chan and Jin… can continue walking on the happiness road hand-in-hand from now on. No more things can come between the two of you.” Keita practically directed his words to the two said persons.

“WE WILL!” Kazuya and Jin shouted together in their loudest voice to thank Keita through the silent hall. Momentarily, every one in the hall turned towards the VIP area, trying to catch a glimpse of the said blissful couple. Some did. Some did not. Nevertheless, they were still generous with their encouraging applauses.

“I will make sure you do that!” Keita shouted into his microphone, grinning widely with his well-known smile. He maintained the smile and turned towards the audience. “To mark the end of the premium concert today, I am going to present my proud accomplishment to all of you here, especially towards Jin and Kazuya. It is an encouragement song I composed for the two of them. It is called ‘Michishirube’. I hope from now on, the signpost can become your courage. Please, listen to it.”

Everyone in the hall fell into silence and waited in anticipation on how the song would turn out to be. It definitely wouldn’t be a disappointing one that was to be sure. Kazuya smiled at Jin before he leaned his head down onto Jin’s shoulder ethereally and enjoyed the special song. Jin hugged his lover tighter in his embrace and leaned his head on top of Kazuya’s head. They too, anticipated for the song.

Keita’s voice trailed off perfectly accompanied with the strumming of the last guitar cord note through the speakers within the hall. He looked up only to see everyone staring at him intently with their mouths slightly agape, dazed in their minds.

Silence stretched out pleasantly. Kazuya and Jin felt extremely touched with the song, so they dazedly stood up quietly and clapped their hands slowly and weakly at first then picked up at a faster pace turning their claps into powerful and reverberating loud claps. Everyone in the whole hall was soon brought out from their dazed state with Kazuya and Jin’s leading loud and harmonized claps. All applauded loudly in appreciation and encouragement.

Keita felt very satisfied with the scene and flashed a wide, grateful smile. “Thank you so much!” He took off his guitar strap and placed the guitar on the stand before giving a deep bow towards the audience. “Thank you!” He repeated happily when he straightened up.

“Thank you so much to every one who attended this premium concert tonight once again! I thanked you for not leaving halfway and showered me with your support and love tonight! Kazu-chan, Jin, I hope both of you will like this song that I have written. Thank you my guests for coming over to stand by me tonight. A last announcement before we end this wonderful night, all the songs that I have performed tonight will be released in the album starting from tomorrow onwards. I hope that I will continue to receive support from every one in future. Thank you again! Good-bye! Take care on your way home! Till we meet again!” With all those said Keita bowed again and took his glorious leave, retreating back to the backstage, not sparing a look back at the audience.

Kazuya smile broadly while staring in front which filled with the scene of most of the fans were trying to stand up and leave the venue. He turned to look at Jin and realized that Jin was mirroring his action too. Kazuya launched forward and pressed himself firmly into Jin’s body and wrapped his arms tightly around Jin’s toned body.

Jin automatically returned the gesture and rested his head on Kazuya’s shoulder lovingly. “Love you just so much, Kazu.” He whispered softly into his lover’s ear.

“Love you just as much too, Jin…” Kazuya whispered back while adjusting their posture to Kazuya leaning demurely on Jin’s broad chest while fiddling with Jin’s choker. Just then, Kazuya couldn’t resist anymore and planted a light, gentle kiss onto Jin’s collarbones which he earned himself a loud, girly shriek from Jin and a slight rough push away from his lover’s body.

“W-what had happened?” Kazuya blinked and questioned amusedly as he stared at Jin who’s busy protecting his collarbones away from any further attack with his hands frantically. “What, Jin?” They had successfully caught their friends’ probing attention as well.

“Kazu! I’m ticklish at the collarbones! D-don’t touch me there!” Jin defended, feeling jumpy.

Kazuya blinked at Jin a few times before bursting out into laughter together with their friends who had overheard their dialogue too. Jin pouted madly at their reactions and sat down in his seat indignantly.

“Jin~” Kazuya whined before he placed himself into his pouting lover’s lap. “I’m sorry… I didn’t know you were… ticklish… at there.” Kazuya controlled his laughter and wrapped his arms around Jin’s neck, pulling the unwilling Jin into a hug. “Sorry…” Kazuya felt the need to apologize again.

“Forget it. Since you know it now… don’t you touch there so suddenly again. I can’t take it.”

“Okay… but I can’t promise. Since that now I have found your weakness…” Kazuya giggled evilly.

“Kazu! Then tell me your weakness too and then it will be fair!” Jin whined mutinously.

“We shall see.” Kazuya taunted. “Will Jin forgive Kazu?” Kazuya presented Jin his best-practiced adorable puppy look, trying to distract his boyfriend.

“Yeah… Jin forgave Kazu already.” Jin muttered sulkily as he just couldn’t resist Kazu’s renowned adorable puppy look.

“Thank you~” Kazuya bent down and placed a kiss on Jin’s lips and beamed at him.

“But Jin,” Kazuya started again, “you really sounded like a girl just now…” and he giggled.

“No, I did not!” Jin defended appallingly.

“Okay, okay, my almighty Jinjin didn’t do that…” Kazuya placed another placating kiss on Jin’s protruding lips.

“Ahem!” They heard a fake clearing throat sound. “Excuse me, Sirs?”

A/N: Oh ho~ done with this part as well! I’m surprised that I could manage to cover the concert part in just one chap~ lol. I thought I would have dragged it longer, given my style of writing. *proud* XD Anyway if there’s anyone who needed to know the translation name of the last song Keita sang, it was ‘Michishirube’ which meant signpost. Wandering For Love -chapter 39-

Chapter 39:

“EH!?” the four of them exclaimed in alarm. “You mean… that Keita?” Nakamaru asked in an abnormal, serious tone, too serious in Kazuya’s point of view. “No wonder I find him so familiar too!”

“Yes, that Keita.” Jin thought their emphasis was on the fact that Keita was a popular singer and not because of the assumption that Keita was the guy they thought Kazuya had liked.

“Nice to meet you, I’m Tachibana Keita.” Keita flashed his brilliant smile and shook hands with the four astonished guys.

“You are one… I mean…” Koki started off and stared at Kazuya for a moment before changing the direction of his sentence wisely. “I mean… you are Vanilla-chan’s owner, right?”

“Yes, I am.” Keita smiled and Yamapi only giggled at that scene.

Ueda marched over and pulled Jin to a side before whispering to him deviously. “Are you really alright with Kame-chan and Keita together?”

Jin tilted his head in amusement before he whispered back curiously. “What are you talking about?”

“You stupid! I was referring to-” Ueda whispered again when Kazuya’s voice broke into their hearing range.

“Jin, what are you talking about with Tat-chan?” Kazuya slipped his hand spontaneously into Jin’s warm hand and leaned slightly onto Jin.

Ueda’s eyes widened in confusion and let out lowly. “Eh?”

“Come on, Tat-chan, I have got something to tell you guys.” Jin chuckled and walked back to the counter with Kazuya hand-in-hand. Ueda gaped and watched on raptly.

“Guys!” Jin called for everyone’s attention. “Kazu and I have got something to inform you guys.” Jin signaled gentlemanly for Kazuya to start off.

Kazuya cleared his throat and started out nervously. “W-well… sorry to make you guys always worrying about the issue between me and… Jin. I mean of course and Keita as well.”

Keita pointed a finger at himself in pure surprise amidst the mini group of listeners. He did not think that these guys from the pet shop knew about what was going on between Kazuya, Jin and him all along.

“Hmm but there won’t be any more in future because Jin and I have officially got together since last night. So… yeah. That’s it.” Kazuya ended with a shy smile and beamed up at Jin; hand linking tightly together once again.

“Really?” Koki confirmed skeptically.

“Yes…” Yamapi responded for them as a courtesy.

“Everything is fine now.” Keita affirmed with a perceptible smile.

“OH YES! YESSSS!” The four pet shop staffs and the four friends gathered together in a big group hug, weeping in joy.

“I feel so happy for you, Kame-chan!” Junno shouted gleefully.

“Yes, you have finally attained the happiness you’ve been waiting for!” Ueda said next.

“And please be blessed with bliss from now on!” Nakamaru prayed with gleeful tears brimming in his eyes.

“Yes! For Keita…” Koki stopped momentarily. “Hmm… I hope you will find your own happiness soon too?”

“Thank you, I will.” Keita replied with absolute confidence.

“YAY! Another group hug!” All of them cheered merrily.

After their merriness had subsided, Keita brought out another four tickets from his pocket and pushed them into the hands of the four bewildered staffs. “I will be having my first premium solo concert soon, so I hope all of you will attend it. You are Kazu-chan’s friends, so that make you guys my friends too. So you all are my important guests too. I have already invited Kazu-chan, Jin and Pi.”

The four of them looked down on the tickets in amazement.

“Oh my freaking god! I never imagine myself being able to know the famous vocalist of w-inds. that easily! He’s that famed KEITA you all know!” Junno shouted vigorously which caused everyone there to roll their eyes.

“Hey come on! We have already known Kame-chan here, you know?” KA-ME-CHAN. KA-ME-NA-SHI. Ring a bell in your brain?” Koki retorted sarcastically.

“Well… I am not that extraordinary you know...” Keita chuckled modestly.

“No… Don’t be humble with us, Tachibana-san. When compared to us, you have indeed own a great achievement.” Ueda replied reverently.

“No, no. Don’t call me Tachibana-san. It’s weird. No one really called me that anymore. Just call me Keita will do.” Keita responded in equal politeness.

“Sure.”

“So… be sure to attend okay?” Keita reminded.

“Of course we will!” Koki answered passionately.

“Oh holy god! They are VIP seats!” Nakamaru yelled in astound from a side while the rest of them rolled their eyes again.

“We all know that already, Maru!”

“Wow, the ambience here is serene and comfy. Different from w-inds. style.” Yamapi mumbled quietly when he stepped into the big buzzing arena hall together with Kazuya, Jin and the four staffs from the pet shop.

“Yeah. I heard that this solo project is to let the public take note of Keita’s ability to compose and sing without being in those flashy costumes and dance songs. Thus, he will be strictly using guitars to sing in order to portray his powerful singing skills. So when he becomes Tachibana Keita, no more flashy costumes and no more dancing for boogie songs.” Kazuya explained lucidly to the group.

“Ohh…” The four staffs nodded comprehensively.

Once they flashed their tickets to the staffs of the arena hall, the courteous staffs bowed in respect to them and brought them to their respective seats. It was really a fabulous sight from their place. They were arranged to be seated in a covered, secluded corner whereby neither anyone nor fans could disturb them however they could still see the whole stage clearly.

Just then, Jin remembered that Keita had sent him a text message earlier that same morning to remind him to bring Kazuya to the backstage and looked for him when they have arrived at the venue. So Jin leaned over and whispered to Kazuya.

“Kazu, we are supposed to go and look for Kei at the backstage now. Shall we?”

Kazuya looked surprised but smiled adorably as he nodded his head obediently. So they got up, informed their friends and went in search of Keita.

They were however, spared on the part of walking aimlessly in the big backstage hall as the minute they asked a staff about Keita’s dressing room and informed the staff their names, they were brought to the room straight away without any other hassles.

Knock knock.

“Yes?” came a calm, manly voice from the other side.

“Sorry to disturb…” Jin and Kazuya whispered politely before stepping in.

“Kazu! Jin!” Keita’s cheery voice echoed immediately when they stepped into the dressing room.

“Kei! How are you feeling now? Nervous?” Kazuya asked in a child-like manner.

“Ahh… yes. I felt kind of nervous now… but I can still handle it.” Keita smiled.

“Just do your best, alright?” Jin encouraged. “We’ll be watching!”

“You bet I will!” Keita did a buddy high-five with Jin.

“Okay… actually I have called for the both of you,” Keita pointed to Kazuya then to Jin, “is because I have got a gift for you.”

“Gift? What gift?” Jin asked curiously.

“Hold on ne… I need to search for it… Now where did I put it…” Keita mumbled absentmindedly while searching through his duffel bag for the said gifts. “Ah! There! I found it!”

Keita pulled out two medium sized jewellery box and handled them to Kazuya and Jin according to the colour of the box. Crimson for Jin and violet for Kazuya.

“What is this?” Kazuya asked inquisitively as he started to unwrap the ribbon from the box and took off the cover lid. And Jin followed after him.

“Jewellery?”

“Have a look. I think you will like it.” Keita urged.

“Ehhh!? A choker?” Jin and Kazuya pulled out immediately and have a discreet look at the gift they received.

“Why did you give us a choker?” Jin asked inquiringly.

“Hmm.. actually, this choker is a limited merchandise which I designed myself for this premium concert.” Keita started off. “So you see mine…” He flashed the hidden choker from under his buttoned collarshirt at the couple and continued, “there’s an oval-shaped metal plate that states ‘85’ which meant my birth year and a metallic brass-colored guitar pick that carved my name on it. If you do not want to wear this metallic pendant, you can remove and use it as a cellphone accerssory as well.” Keita explained. “But I supposed it isn’t any special if I were to give you two the same… I mean wearing my symbol like those fans out there. Hence, I made a request to make a small change for these two pieces specially for the both of you, to signify your love.”

Kazuya and Jin stared at Keita in gratitude and waited for him to continue. “So as for Kazu’s, there is the same plate that states ‘85’ for my birth year but the guitar pick will be carved of his own name, Kamenashi Kazuya with my signature on the other side of the pick.”

Keita waited for Jin to put the choker on for Kazuya before he continued for Jin’s while Kazuya was going to put on Jin’s choker on to Jin’s neck.

‘Simply just like exchanging wedding rings.’ Keita sniggered inwardly at their public affection.

Keita cleared his throat timidly before he carried on. “Okay… anyway for Jin, his will be the same. The plate that has a ‘85’ with the guitar pick that bore the name Akanishi Jin on it and my signature is on the other side as well. There isn’t much difference actually. Just the names. Afterall, this pendant is supposed to be a memorial item for my first solo premium concert.” Keita finished beautifully.

“Thank you so much!” Both Jin and Kazuya bowed their heads in appreciation and stared at the choker on their necks in dazing smiles.

Keita did a stretching and said. “Alright! Now that I have given the gifts to you, I must really go and get ready for my concert! Stay tuned okay?”

“Alright.”

“Okay, now shoo off!”

After they have returned back to their VIP seats in the VIP area, Jin and Kazuya sat down in their designated seats hand-in-hand, clasping tightly yet gently. They don’t want to let go of each other’s hand. Never.

Soon, the concert began. Keita moved out from the behind of the crimson curtains and strolled towards the microphone stand that stood in the center of the stage in anxious steps. He picked up his personalized guitar and started kicking off the ball for the night. A few sentimental songs went by and he had already reached the MC segment.

“Hello everyone! I am Tachibana Keita. Thank you for coming to watch my first solo premium concert today.” He paused to drink a mouthful of water. “The Keita in this concert will be different from the Keita in w-inds. which I think everyone here has noticed it. I won’t be wearing nice, glittery costumes nor do any dance steps. The Keita today will be solely performing his own songs with a guitar and wearing a suit, that’s all.”

“Today, I have got a few VIPs and my childhood friends with me in this hall.” Keita turned towards the VIP area and smiled. He gestured towards the VIP area with his right hand and continued. “Their existences here today give me a lot of courage and confidence to perform even better because I don’t want to disappoint them. Afterall, my childhood friends were the ones who inspired me to pursue and never give up my dream. Finally, today, I made it.” Keita retracted his hand while pausing another short while to inhale a breath.

Immediately, a shout sounding like ‘don’t cry’ emerged from the audience seats.

“Don’t worry, I won’t. Thanks. Pi, Kazu, thank you too.” Keita smiled. “Though I debuted as a member of w-inds., I have never given up on composing lyrics which I have been doing since young. Therefore, I am very thankful towards my company and Matsuyama-san for giving me a chance to prove myself to everyone, and also, not to forget Ryohei-kun and Ryuichi-kun for their support and understanding on this issue for my firmness in making a debut as a solo artiste.” He bowed down deeply and received a whole round of glorious applause from the audience.

It was evident that Keita heaved out a deep breath in relief after he got up. Kazuya and Yamapi stood up from their seats and applauded in encouragement. Jin, Ueda, Junno, Nakamaru and Koki did the same thing as well.

When the clapping subsided, Keita brought up his microphone and spoke again. “I felt that I am very lucky to have you fans supporting and standing by me since the beginning. Thank you very much! I aim to do better from now on!” At this, Keita received another round of shouting like ‘please work hard’ and ‘yay’.
